Library

The online library.

The New Zealand Riley Club have made available many rare or unavailable books for the Riley community. These are examples of what you’ll see on their site.

RM (Book Nos.103, 104, 107 and 109).
RM owners will be pleased to see that they are not forgotten and we now have an almost full set of Nuffield Sales & Service Bulletins from 1946 and Illustrated Spare Parts Lists for RMB, RMF and for the model known as the 90HP 2½ litre Riley before Nuffield used the 'RM' model designation.

Nines (Book Nos. 90, 100 and 101)
For '9' enthusiasts there are three more spare parts books covering models from 1926-1930, 1934-1935 and 1935 onward and an Instruction Book for the 1937 Monaco and Merlin models. I don't think we have any of these later Nines in New Zealand so I'd be interested to hear from anyone who knows of one.

15 HP Six Cylinder (Book No.108).
This book adds to our collection of Six Cylinder Instruction books and covers the 1936 cars. Although the book is not model specific a couple of the illustrations look a bit 'Adelphi'.

Autovia (Book No.106)
Unless someone is keeping it well hidden I don't know of an Autovia in New Zealand but we now have an instruction book just in case.

BMC Four-Sixty-Eight and Four-Seventy-Two (Book No. 102)
This is a complete Workshop Manual for these 'Farina' models and is split into sections (as are the other manuals) to make information searching a bit easier.

Electrical (Book Nos. 112 & 114)
On the electrical front we now have a  BTH Magneto Instruction Book and a Vertex magneto Instruction and Parts book produced by Scintilla U.K.

The latter adds to our knowledge as it is much older than Book No.61 (which is an American publication from the present suppliers Taylor Cable Products).

Carburettor (Book No.110).

Doubling our collection on Solex Carburettors we now have an Instruction Book for Types F.V. and F.H.

Autovac  (Book No.106).
Not a lot of these in use but we now have an Instruction Book for them.

Finding what you want.
The on-line library is set up as a filing cabinet and I hope it is easy to find what you want by following the instructions on the home page. However, being a Google site it does have their ultra-fast search tool which is at the very top right of all pages and you can use this to search for something you can't find. To make this work better I have added descriptions of subject matter where I think the book title may not be descriptive enough.
